Boca Brava Island, Panama
February 1-3, 2012
Feeling the urge to experience the water again, we headed to the pacific side of Panama to an island called Boca Brava Island. It's a very small island with only a few houses and one hotel. Because the area is made up of many small islands, it creates really calm bays where the waters are extremely still (almost like being on a lake). It was a unique place to spend a few days.
Our Accommodations - Boca Brava Hotel
The only place to stay on the island (other than a few house rentals) is called Boca Brava Hotel. The rooms are basic but it has a great location up on a hill overlooking the water and surrounding islands. The restaurant is the main hang out place with a three tiered deck for catching breezes and watching the beauty of the area.
