Visit From Family in London, England
March, 2013
We enjoyed a wonderful visit with Deb's little sister Angel and husband Jamie who came to London to see us! We had a ton of fun sight-seeing London and doing some day trips in the nearby area. It was such a treat to spend quality time together and create such wonderful memories!
Our Accommodations - Richmond Flat
Our flat is located near an area called Richmond, which is a really nice area of London to base ourselves.
We're very lucky to have such a great apartment available to us.
Special Gift
A very special surprise....Matching silver necklaces to share as sisters. It was an extremely generous and thoughtful gesture that will always have a special memory and menaing behind it, which we will always share together.
Buckingham Palace
Photo's from London
Portobello Road Market
The largest antique street/shop market in London
Tower of London
We explored the Tower of London which is a historic castle on the River Thames dating back to 1066.
And then we crossed the famous London Bridge!
The Lovely Town of Rye
This little town was AMAZING! Its the perfect example of a well preserved medevil settlement and one of the most attractive villages in England. Its easy to be bewitched by Rye's cobblestone streets, secret passage ways and crooked timber buildings. We loved it here and it was definately a highlight of our trip!
The Old Bell Pub in Rye
We became fast friends with the bartender who worked at the pub named "Joe". He was joyful and welcoming and we had a great time chatting and getting to know each other. We also had some comical moments when a misunderstanding between the words "Beiber" and "Beaver" had us in stiches! Great memories, great times!
Camber Sands
Rye is situated near the coast where the famous Camber Sands are located.
Bodium Castle
A short drive from Rye is Bodium Castle. A moated castle built in 1385.
The City of Bath
The most famous feature here is The Roman Bath Houses that is actually set below street level and was constructed 2000 years ago by the Romans!
