Snowdonia National Park, North Wales
May 14-17, 2013
After our house sitting assignment ended in South Wales, we headed to North Wales to explore a park called Snowdonia National Park. Its famous for its many beautiful hiking trails and for its highest mountain called Snowdon which sits at a height of 3560 feet (1085 meters)! We stayed in a wonderful B&B in the small village of Betws y Coed.
Our Accommodation - Coed y Fron B&B
We stayed within Snowdonia National Park at a lovely B&B called Coed y Fron located in the village centre of Betws y Coed.
We loved this area of North Wales, with lush green rolling hills and the mountains as a backdrop...Fresh air and tranquility...It was very beautiful!

Crimpiau Trail Hike
We did a hike called Crimpiau that started from a small village called Capel Curig. We actually ended up getting lost even though the sign for the correct path was right in front of us! Nonetheless, it was still a very pretty hike and took about 3 hours round trip.

Hiking Snowdon Mountain!
On our last day, we decided to attempt to climb the mountain called Snowdon! We made it to the top! It was an amazing hike and it felt so good to be challenged with such a wonderful reward at the end. By the time we reached the top, it was quite misty and cold but while we were there, the clouds magically parted rewarding us with fantastic views! We took a path up to the summit of Snowdon called The Miners Track and took an alternate route down on the opposite side of the mountain called The Snowdon Ranger Path. It took us 5.5 hours round trip.
