Playa Brasilito, Costa Rica
September 22-26, 2011
After a nice time spent in the quiet and solitude of Montezuma, we had to start heading back up the Nicoya Peninsula coast in order to catch our bus for Honduras. Since our time was running out, we chose one more spot to enjoy and decided to stay in Playa Brasilito about mid-way up the Nicoya peninsula. Playa Brasilto is a small rustic beach village with a quaint feel and is still relatively unspoiled by development. Its located about 15km from the popular town of Tamarindo and close to great surfing at Playa Grande. It seemed like the perfect low key to be for our last days in Costa Rica.
Our Accommodation - Conchal Hotel
We found a really nice boutique hotel called Conchal Hotel. It was so tranquil and peaceful and only minutes from one of the best beaches along this peninsula called Playa Conchal. It made a perfect location that was close to attractions but away from the crowds. It was a great place to spend our last few days in Costa Rica.

The Beaches - Playa Conchal and Playa Flamingo
One of the best beaches along the Nicoya Peninsula is Playa Conchal known for its snorkeling right off the beach. It was only a few minutes walk from our hotel and it was a great place to spend our days swimming and snorkeling in the warm water. Also nearby, was Playa Flamingo known for its surf. Best of all, there was nobody on the beaches and we got to enjoy them all to ourselves!
