Kenneday Space Center, Florida
December 7-10, 2010
The Kennedy Space Center has been used for every NASA human space flight since 1968. Although such flights are currently on hiatus, they continue to operate unmanned rocket launch facilities for the civilian space program from three pads on the ajoining Cape Canaveral Air Force Station. It was a fun day exploring the museum and listening to a speech given by a retired astronaut. The magnitude and size of some of the rockets absolutely blew our mind!

This was a special treat to spend the day seeing where it all happens. We even got to meet a real astronaut named John-David Bartoe who was giving a short speech.

Wheeler Farms Tour, Orlando Area, Florida
December 7-10, 2010
Our friends that we had met earlier at Itchetucknee River, graciously offered to give us a tour of the family farm to get an up close and personal look at a Florida orange grove. We toured the grove, picked oranges right from the field and had a tour of the processing facility. It was a great day and we really enjoyed our experience.
