Huangshan Mountain, China
July 13 - 15, 2008
Huangshan mountains ("yellow mountains") have been immortalized in endless numbers of ancient Chinese paintings, poetries and stories. It was named after the legendary Yellow Emperor who unified all of China and the myth says he found the secret of eternal life here. Though it took a lot of coordination to arrive here and it rained alot while we visited, we still found it to be a magical place worth visiting! it also happened to be the place our friends got engaged!
Our Accommodation
At the time we visited I think our options were more limited and due to the constant mist and rain in this area we found the rooms to be damp and musty. We assume this likely has improved since our visit as accessing Huangshan has become easier. We stayed at Beihai Hotel.
