House Sitting Porthcawl, South Wales, England
April 29-May 13, 2013
After a busy 11 days touring around South West England, it was nice to arrive at our next house sitting assignment in the coastal town of Porthcawl, South Wales. The home owners are very friendly, fun and extremely warm and welcoming. We always feel so blessed to meet such wonderful people. We're caring for their lovely home and 3 cats named Poppy, Panther, and Coucou. Porthcawl is a small town but has a nice path that follows the coastline for miles so its a great opportunity to enjoy some lovely bicycle rides in the sunshine. The ocean is just down the block from us and we love hearing the sounds of seagulls and feeling the ocean breeze on our faces!

Rhossili Bay
Just west of Porthcawl, is a peninsula called The Gower Peninsula. We drove to a place called Rhossili Bay where at low tide you can cross a causeway to a rocky outcrop called "The Worms Head". Unfortunately, by the time we arrived, we were too late to cross and it was raining pretty hard. But it was still a pretty coastline to see.
Pembrokeshire Peninusla
We drove to the Pembrokeshire Peninsula to visit a town called Tenby. Tenby is a really cute and colorful sea side town with two very lovely bay's and beaches. Its also a walled city meaning most of the town cetnre still exists inside its original stone walls.
Bosherton Lilly Ponds
We were too early in the season to see the lilly's in bloom, but it was a nice walk that lead to a pretty bay. The blue on our tongue is from eating a new found favorite candy called "bon bon's".
