Champasak - Vat Phou Temple, Laos
February 17-19, 2014
The sleepy little village of Champasak doesn't have much going on but it does have one of Laos more impressive monuments called Vat Phou Temple (or Wat Phu Temple). The temple is over 1,000 years old and was shaped to express the Hindu vision of the relationship between nature and humanity and the entire complex spans about 10km.
Our Accommodation - Vong Pasued Guesthouse
When you're in Champasak, the ideal place to stay is at guesthouses which face the Mekong River. We found a place called Vong Pasued Guesthouse which isn't going to win any awards for asthetics, in fact, in was down right hopeless. But, the rooms were clean and the views were great.
