Boston, Massachusetts
September 28-October 1, 2010
The City of Boston was a cool place! We had no idea so much history existed here and we were really grateful for the opportunity to learn about the major events that took place such as the Declaration of Independence and the Boston Massacre, just to name a few. There's lots to see and do here including why "chowda" is better than chowder, see where Paul Revere rode, how the pilgrims lived, and walk along the Freedom Trail. There's also beaches, mountains and a vibrant art scene. We'll have to come back to get it all in!
Our Accommodations - Wompatuck State Park
We were lucky to find a great place called Wompatuck State Park because from here, it was only a short drive to the commuter boat dock where we took a ferry into downtown Boston harbor. The ride was 30 minutes.

The Freedom Trail
The Freedom Trail is a 2.5 mile brick lined walking route which highlights all the major points in U.S. history including The Declaration of Independence and the Boston Massacre, just to name a few. It was a very interesting afternoon and we highly recommend picking up a brochure and doing the walk.
Cheers!
The location of "Cheers", the TV show. Originally it was called The Bull and Finch when TV producers discovered it. To appeal to tourists, they recreated the Cheers TV set in the upper level and the original bar is still in the basement.
