Boquete, Panama
January 29-February 1, 2012
Oh Boquete....This pretty little mountain town was a real charmer. Set among the Chiriqui mountains and along the Caldera river, this place was a nice stop. At an elevation of 2800 meters, it was also much colder and a nice relief from the humid coast line. It's well known as being an expat haven so the community is a large mix of Panamanians and expats.
Our Accommodations - Refugio del Rio
We found a really great place called Refugio del Rio. Set along a smaller creek with a nice garden, hammocks and tables, it made a great relaxing spot. It had a wonderful common kitchen which we used everyday to cook up tasty meals for breakfast and lunch.
