Ben Nevis Mountain, Glencoe National Park, Scotland
May-June, 2013
Our goal: to hike the highest point in the UK, a mountain called Ben Nevis sitting at 1344 meters and located within the beautiful area known as Glencoe National Park! Yes, we actually made it! It took us 8 hours round trip to complete and it was a very gruelling and exhausting hike but an amazing experience with fantastic views from the snow covered top!
Our Accommodation - Glen Nevis Caravan and Campground
The Glen Nevis Caravan and Campground was the perfect location for our purpose. Nestled at the foot of Ben Nevis, we had brilliant views of the imposing mountain we would soon climb.
Hiking Ben Nevis Mountain
What a hike! This seemed like a very difficult ascent that was gruelling and exhausting to point that our legs were involuntarily shaking with fatigue. But we endured. And our reward was amazing vistas from the top of the snow covered peak.
